Too-Fast Spring Birds
55 sec / digital / silent / 2012

A video in anticipation of As Long As Trees Last, a new book of poems by Hoa Nguyen, published by Wave Books (August 2012). Edited to an audio recording of the piece by the poet.

TOO–FAST SPRING BIRDS

Love the days       You
Crave       a crown of bowls

as in     “She dances like a Bomb”
Fossil piece and dust on me

Hands
these things that dust in words

Too fast
a bird that goes and since a net

I hide or flee
who finds the fossil pieces

Beech tree white

a candy for a hearth
as long as trees last

Leaning
a strong thing
